These porcelain chains started out as a metaphor for the strength and brittleness of contemporary masculinity. They have since become a way of reaching out and engaging with individuals about how they describe their own masculinity.

The chains were developed during my 2015 Residency at the Florence Trust. For my Summer Show, I constructed a short story and complimentary installation called 'Taxonomy'. This work was informed by; my Father's 1990 BOC Solo Round the World yacht race, the search for the North West Passage, and Darwin's journey on the Beagle.
